Most Successful T20 Captains of Pakistan

In the modern cricketing world, short format cricket has become more famous. These 20 overs limited games have become an essential part of today’s cricket. Whether it is international cricket or domestic leagues, the amount of money spent for its operation and development is huge and it has now become the most famous format of cricket. Domestic leagues such as IPL, BIG BASH and now PSL have become a brand of this format. Starting in 2003 this format has developed from time to time and had its first world cup in 2007. Pakistan has proved itself to be one of the greatest sides in this format, the team stood victorious to the 2009 T20 world cup under the captainship of Younis Khan.

Pakistan has produced many talented players in this format, the most successful captains of Pakistan are:

1.SARFARAZ AHMED:

Sarfaraz Ahmed is the most successful Twenty20 Captain and right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper who plays in all formats of the game. Sarfraz was named Pakistan’s Twenty20 International captain after ICC T20 World cup of 2016 in India. Under his captaincy Pakistan won 9 t20 series consecutively.

2.MISBAH UL HAQ:

Misbah-ul-Haq Khan Niazi, known as Misbah-ul-Haq is a Pakistani former cricketer and captain of Pakistan ODI, Test and T20 cricket team.

He scored 5,222 runs in ODI at an average of 47 with a strike rate of 73 and 788 runs in 38 matches at an average of 37. He is the current chief selector and head coach of the Pakistan cricket team.

3.BABAR AZAM:

One of the finest batsman Pakistan has ever produced, Babar Azam is the current captain of Pakistani team in all three formats. Babar is the fastest batsman to score 2000 runs in t20 international. He achieved this milestone in just 54 matches with an average of 47. He is currently number 1 ODI batsman in the world.

4.SHOAIB MALIK:

Shoaib Malik, Pakistani all-rounder and former team captain. He is  middle order batsman and right arm leg spinner.  He was the finest captain of the Pakistani cricket team from 2007 to 2009.

Malik took 158 wickets in 287 ODI matches with average 39.20. He has scored 2321 ODIs runs in 110 matches at an average of 32 and took 28 wickets.

5.YOUNUS KHAN:

One of the greatest modern-day batsmen of Pakistan, Younis Khan is the Pakistani former cricketer, coach and Pakistani cricket team captain in all three formats (Test, ODI and T20). He led Pakistan to their victory in the ICC World T20 in 2009, which was the first World T20 title of Pakistan.

Khan scored 452 runs in 25 matches.

He finished his career with 1,416 runs in 99 matches at an average of 17 and 98 wickets with an average of 24.44.
